I've experimented with all the apps and tried all the systems. I thought mine was the best and simplest. Then I downloaded "Chaos to Control"... and now I feel bad for not paying for it 😂 GET THIS NOW before Matt realizes it's too good to give away!"- Chaos To Control User

Hello! I'm Matt.
I'm a former college baseball coach turned writer and life coach.
The "Chaos To Control" system is part of my upcoming course on life optimization.

Welcome to “Chaos to Control,” my productivity AND journaling system.I’ve been obsessed with productivity systems since high school. In fact, I remember the day I became obsessed.A motivational speaker named Bob Steenlage spoke at my high school.Bob was an incredible wrestler and told us stories about his discipline and work ethic that had me mesmerized. He had a breakout session for athletes at which he suggested we plan out each day in detail to make sure we’re doing all we can to succeed athletically and academically. That night, I wrote my first daily agenda on lined notebook paper. I planned every minute of the following day, including when I would wake up, brush my teeth, put my contacts in, go to bed, and everything inbetween. This became a nightly ritual that continued into my college years. I kept all my agendas in three-ring binders so I could go back and look through them whenever I wanted. In college, I was introduced to Franklin Covey planners, which became my next productivity obsession. I was able to continue writing my agendas in the planners, but also use the calendars to plan further ahead than I had been.As smartphones and mobile applications became popular, I started playing with digital planning tools. I tried countless productivity apps between 2010 and 2020: Nozbe, Todoist, Asana, Trello, and Evernote, just to name a few.I struggled to find one that I loved. I found myself switching systems every month or two.Tired of changing systems so often, I decided to design my own system in 2020, which is the system I teach in this course. It’s the ONLY system I’ve ever been able to stick with, and here’s why you’ll LOVE it as well:

  • It's easy to customize.

  • It’s completely digital. NO PAPER!

  • You’ll get more done in less time (the definition of productivity).

  • You’ll have more time for your family and you’ll be more present with them during that time (because you’ll plan for it).

  • You’ll stick to your disciplines and habits (i.e., exercise, reading, writing, etc.).

  • Your mind will be more uncluttered than ever before (because the system teaches you how to quickly get things out of your mind and into the system).

  • You’ll fall in love with journaling (even more if you already love it).

  • You’ll have a space and a system for processing your thoughts and emotions.

  • And much more!
